Installing drivers manually without internet
Sometimes after a clean Windows installation, the network card or other components do not work without drivers.
Why this problem occurs
After a clean Windows installation, basic drivers (especially for Wi-Fi/network) may be missing until manufacturer-specific drivers are installed — a Catch-22: no network to download the network driver.
Solution 1: Prepare drivers in advance
Before reinstalling Windows, download the necessary drivers (especially network/Wi-Fi) to a separate USB drive from the manufacturer's website (Lenovo/Dell/ HP, etc.) for the exact laptop model.
Solution 2: Connect via Ethernet cable
If you have access to wired internet, connecting via an Ethernet port (if available) often works immediately without additional drivers, unlike Wi-Fi.
Solution 3: Windows Update automatically
Sometimes it's enough to simply wait for Windows Update to find and install basic drivers itself after the first connection to the network by any means.
How to find the exact model for driver search
The laptop's Service Tag/serial number (more details in a separate article) allows you to find the exact manufacturer support page with all the necessary drivers for your specific model.
