Battery and Power Connector Repair

Battery replacement with capacity guarantee and repair of a loose power connector.

Battery Replacement

We install batteries with guaranteed residual capacity (not below the threshold applicable to our warranty — see the battery article for details on design/full capacity). The old battery is checked for actual wear before recommending replacement.

Power Connector (DC-Jack) Repair

If your laptop only charges when the cable is in a specific position or doesn't charge at all, despite a working charger, it almost always means a loose or damaged DC-Jack, not a faulty charger itself (more details in a separate article about DC-Jack). Repair depends on the design: if the connector is on a separate board, replacement is simpler; if it's soldered onto the motherboard, careful resoldering is required.

Completion Time

Battery replacement — usually on the same day if the part is in stock. DC-Jack repair may take longer depending on complexity (separate board or resoldering on the main board).

How to Order a Repair

Describe the exact symptom (doesn't hold a charge, doesn't charge at all, only charges when the cable is at an angle) and the laptop model.
