Buy Now or Wait for a Sale

How the range of used tech differs from new – and why waiting isn't always beneficial.

Why the "wait for a sale" logic works differently for used items

Unlike new electronics with predictable seasonal discounts, the inventory of used laptops consists of specific, unique items. A desirable configuration and condition (the right Grade, sufficient RAM, a good price) on a particular model might simply be sold to another buyer while you wait.

When it makes sense to wait

If your task isn't urgent and you're looking for a specific, rare configuration (e.g., maximum RAM on a certain model), you can monitor new arrivals.

When you should buy immediately

If you find a configuration that fully meets your needs at an acceptable price, there's no guarantee that a used item with those exact parameters will reappear in the same price/condition combination.

How to track new arrivals

Subscribe to notifications for new arrivals in your chosen category or model (if such a feature is available in the catalog) – this is a more reliable way to not miss a good option than waiting for a specific sale date.
